Beacons are moments to pause, make connections, and retrieve memories. Their color and pattern derived from pallets of other works in progress. Placed one at a time, each placement dependent on the choice made prior. Their form is borrowed from visual disruptors out in the world - components within infrastructure that are placed via utility, necessity, and intentionally to be seen. Objects so bold, yet somehow they often disappear into the background. Beacons are a system created around process as a way to record. Like a number out of context, a mystery to all but the record keeper. This series initially started around 2022.
